Is BagBuilder free?
The Quick Fit is completely free. A premium tier with deeper analysis, deal alerts, and full bag fitting is in development.
How accurate are the recommendations?
Quick Fit accuracy is around 80–85% compared to in-person fittings for the iron category. The Full Fit (30 questions) targets 95%+ accuracy. For precision shaft work and lie angle fine-tuning, we always recommend visiting a certified fitter.
Do I need to create an account?
No — you can complete the quiz and see results without an account. Creating a free account lets you save your results, rebuild your fitting anytime, and add your current clubs to your bag.
What clubs are in the database?
We currently cover irons from major brands including Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, Ping, Mizuno, Srixon, Cleveland, Wilson, and Cobra. Full bag fitting (driver, wedges, putters, ball) is coming in the next update.
Can I redo the quiz?
Yes, any time. If your game changes — new handicap, swing change, physical update — just retake the quiz and your recommendations will update.
How is this different from going to a pro shop?
An in-person fitting with a launch monitor is still the gold standard for precision. BagBuilder is designed for golfers who want a solid starting point before committing to an appointment, or who don't have access to a fitting studio nearby. Think of it as a well-informed shortlist, not a replacement for a session on the range.
